Query

How does one send the perfect query? I've been looking for hours, days, weeks even for the ferfect person to send a letter to asking for them to read my stuff. I'm not too naive to understand the process but I do question it. I'm concerned with the cross genre, fanfiction, triggering content of my story. I believe however that this was the best way, the most authentic way to describe my experiences. Should I change it all and start again or wait for the star crossed agent/publisher to find me or vice versa? 🤔

10-15 Submissions, 1 rejection. Worried about the cross genre style... it's fanfiction, non-fiction, and horror all the while. It's A Child Called It, Hannibal Lecter, and myself. All rolled into 110 pages of raw and rough truths, emotions, and relief. There isn't much more I can say.

That's it. I submitted my query to one agent. I am terrified and excited at the same time, as most authors are at this point in the process. I am open to feedback and excited to get some sort of response regardless of a book deal.

Pre-orders for Exhibit A start now. I'll be autographing each copy and shipping it out the first week of November!! Make sure to leave ...
